Using Mixtayp
Mixtayp is a free radio app for personal, non-commercial listening. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your account
Accounts are optional. If you create one, keep your email secure, since that's how you sign in. You can delete your account any time in the app or on our account deletion page. We may remove accounts used to abuse the app or the services it relies on.
YouTube
Mixtayp plays music videos using the YouTube API Services. By using Mixtayp, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles information from YouTube playback is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
The music
Mixtayp doesn't host, sell or own any music. Songs, videos, artwork and song details come from YouTube, Deezer, Apple and Last.fm, and belong to their artists and rights holders. Each is covered by that service's own terms. Mixtayp links back to each source so you can support the artists you find.
Fair use of the app
Don't use Mixtayp to download, copy or redistribute music, to get around any service's limits or protections, or to break the law.
What you make and share
Some of what you make in Mixtayp can be seen or heard by other people: a shared tape (its name, label, handwriting, note, hidden track and songs), a spoken intro you record for it, the songs you add to a tape made together, and the songs you add to someone's TV in party mode, along with your first name. Only share what you'd be fine with anyone seeing or hearing, and only record your own voice, or someone else's with their permission.
Don't use any of it to harass, threaten, impersonate or spam anyone, or to post anything hateful, sexual or illegal. Listeners can report a shared tape or a tape made together, and block the person behind it. Whoever starts a tape made together can remove people from it, and the TV's owner can turn party mode off at any time. We may delete anything that breaks these rules, and remove the ability to share, record or join from people who keep breaking them.
You keep ownership of what you create. By sharing it, you let us store it and show or play it to the people you share it with, only for running Mixtayp.
Artists and lives
Artist profiles are checked by hand before they get the Artist badge. Only apply for your own music or a group you're part of, and don't pretend to be someone else.
You must be 18 or older to go live. On a live, only perform music you wrote or have the rights to perform, or just talk. Don't play other people's recordings, and don't show or say anything hateful, sexual, violent, illegal, or aimed at harassing someone. Keep personal details, yours or anyone else's, off the air.
Listeners: chat and shout-outs follow the same rules as everything else you share. Artists can remove messages and mute people, and anyone can report a live or a message. We can end a live, remove an Artist badge, or remove an artist profile that breaks these rules.
No guarantees
Mixtayp is provided as it is. Songs may be unavailable, sources may change, and the app may stop working at times. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version goes on this page with a new date, and using the app after that means you accept it.
